The Casa do Romualdo dates back to the 16th century. It features some typical elements of local farm buildings including the "palleira," and the hórreo, the lareirá and the oven. Together with the outside features like the orchard and fields, you can see understand our ancestors used to live and work.
The once open central courtyard has been recreated as an enclosed open space and used as a communal area. The house consists of five double rooms which are all equipped with bathroom, heating and comfortable beds.
In the "Lareira," (an open fire place), you can enjoy a good conversation between new found friends or simply relax after that hearty meal! We rent the house on a room by room basis.
